Euro-Chinese Business and Investment Forum

The first Euro-Chinese Business and Investment Forum - that hopefully was first step of a successful tradition - took place between 7th and 9th of November 2013 in Hotel Marriot, Budapest, with the participation of Chinese and Hungarian entrepreneurs and businessmen.

The event was organized by the Euro-Chinese Business Cooperation Union, the ChinAssist Ltd. and the Foundation for the Development of the Hungarian-Chinese Societal Relationship, and - among others - was supported by the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc., the Eximbank, the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency, the Századvég Foundation, and the Kelemen, Mészáros, Sándor & Partners Law Firm. The official opening of the programme was combined with a gala dinner, where the participants could taste the world famous traditional Hungarian foods and wines, and enjoy the luxurious diamond fashion show of Waskoll Jewellery House.

The opening ceremony was followed by a two-day conference, where the represented Hungarian companies had the possibility to introduce themselves to the potential Chinese partners, initiating the frames of future business relations and cooperation. The main purpose of the Forum – beyond improving and extending the European-Chinese business relations and market possibilities – was among others to facilitate the Chinese-Hungarian friendship and to help exchange experiences of the parties, related to concrete projects. The participants of the programme came from the fields of industry, energy sector, tourism, innovation, research-development and trade.
